MAGIC fashion events: las vegas

I had the pleasure of attending MAGIC Las Vegas for the... maybe 10th time? MAGIC Fashion events is a semi-annual tradeshow that happens a few times a year, in various cities across the US. The Las Vegas chapters operate in both February and August. This specific tradeshow has also operated in cities like Orlando, Florida and Nashville, Tennessee. This tradeshow is fashion-specific and exhibitors consist of wholesale designers and manufacturers who bring their latest and greatest collections to show off to attendees. Attendees consist of buyers, boutique owners, department store representative, influencers, celebrities, reality stars, photographers, and more. This event is awesome for fashion veterans and newbies alike.

The main objective is for buyers to see new collections of clothing and order for their companies. Although it seems very transactional, there's a ton of things to do over the course of the three days the convention is open. MAGIC does an amazing job at providing industry experience through guest appearances, talks seminars, activities and more! This past event included guests like Entrepreneur/Blogger Lauryn Bosstik, Actor/Producer Billy Porter, Model/Influencer Gabriella (Ella) Halikas and musical performance from Busta Rhymes. These heavy hitters have both extraordinary experience and influence in the fashion industry and am amazed that I get to share the same room as these people.

My favorite part of Magic, is the overall encompassing idea of learning something new. Whether it be window display inspiration, marketing tips, beauty recommendations or exploration of designers, I always walk away with enlightenment about SOMEthing if not, numerous things. For someone trying to break into the industry, I highly recommend attending this tradeshow. Since I began attending, I've seen SO many upgrades, changes and updates to the event as a whole.
